Practice And You Can Learn How To Meditate
Can you learn how to meditate? Meaning to clear your mind of all thoughts. Some who meditate can go beyond there physical body condition this amazes me. Developing the ability to block any and all thoughts including sounds go to that place of peace. Can we practice meditation and accomplish a peacefullness? I believe so first, start by getting into a relaxed peace. Posture is important you can meditate on your back or sitting up straight it all about establishing comfort and being relaxed.
(1) Pick a position that is comfortable and relaxing to you either by laying down on your back or sitting up straight. Next try to focus on a object this could a candle or picture then lower eyes halfway down.
(2) Breathing exercise is to help you relax also starting with slow deep breathing. You want your stomach to rise and fall and your chest still. When doing breathing exercise inhale for 3 seconds, exhale for 6 seconds repeating exercise for 15-20 mins.
(3) Doing this will help relax your body and also any muscle tension.
(4) Focusing your mind can be hard sometimes your mind will want to wander. But, remember to bring your mind back to one single point. Eventually your mind will settle just on that point.
(5) When you have s steady focus on one thought next you can try getting your mind to process on nothing. Just open you mind to no thoughts this will take time meaning practice. But, hopefully at some point you can get there. If you still have thoughts passing throw just take this tip. Take that thought then release it without putting a label on it.
Another great tip is locating a comfortable noise free place. Choosing an outside area listen to the birds and looking at the sky can be very relaxing. Now some people have meditation rooms that is relaxing and very comfortable space full of candles, pillows and calming music playing. A very effective technique is praying while meditating.
